Damir is co-founder and chief financial officer (CFO) of Axinom Group.
After successfully serving as Axinom’s chief executive officer (CEO) since 2001, Damir took over the chief financial officer responsibility starting in February 2017.
In close collaboration with Ralph Wagner, Axinom’s CEO, Damir is responsible for development of a financial and operational strategy of Axinom, including internal IT and applications. He focuses on administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, metrics tied to the overall strategy and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Damir is in charge for expanding Axinom’s investor and strategic partner relations. Additionally to his CFO role, Damir oversees the planning, development and execution of Axinom’s public relationship initiatives and government outreach.
Short Biography
Prior to joining Axinom, Damir held a number of executive positions at subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG focused on B2B e-commerce strategies. He studied theoretical computer science at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg.
Damir has over 20 years of industry experience advising senior management of large corporate and start-up organizations. He has worked extensively on issues of competitive positioning, differentiation, new business models, and strategies. His clients have included most of the major media companies as well as internet companies, telecommunication companies, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers and automotive companies in the United States and Europe.
Damir is author of numerous technical articles and well known blogger. He regularly speaks on international conferences across the globe. His expertise, coupled with his technology background, brings the ability to translate technological innovation into business value.
